No waltz, no standard modern ballroom: Our ball features only original dances of the Renaissance period. Join us for this piece of living and lively history in the vast 16th-century Ostsaal of Vienna's only Renaissance castle, featuring

  many easy branles, chosen from Arbeau's famous dance manual and other original sources, for the newcomers to Renaissance dance to join right in;

  lively galliards and dance "classics" from Caroso's and Negri's manuals
for more experienced dancers;

  a Renaissance style fencing performance
(staged by Klingenspiel, an association for historical fencing).

Flute ensemble „Quindolci“ and a singer will accompany us with music by
Arbeau, Widmann, Hassler, Zanetti, Negri, Etienne du Tertre, Caspar Othmayr, d´Estreé, Mainierio and others.

Ticket price includes buffet with Renaissace-inspired cold dishes.
Drinks are available at the bar.
