Alexander Fischer

has been teaching historical dance for many years now. His work is always based on original choreographies; he aims at utmost authenticity, always adjusting his lessons to his students' exact needs and level of experience.
After 16 years of ballet and musical training (piano), he studied dance teaching (Rosalia Chladek method) at Vienna Conservatory.
Among his teachers were Ingrid Giel, Manfred Aichinger, Rosalia Chladek und Helga Hemala (dance, dance teaching), Constantin Zaharia, Gerhard Balluch and Adi Fischer (acting, breathing technique), Hannelore Unfried, Margit Legler und Jorgen Schou-Pedersen (historical dance).
Alexander Fischer runs workshops (in Austria and abroad); he taught until 1995 as assistant teacher to Hannelore Unfried and was a member of Hofdantzer Ensemble. He appeared on TV and performed in dance and theater productions, including many own productions.
For his teaching work with children he won the special price for historical dance in the second ÖTR dancing competition 1997 and the first price for the project "Village of Children" at the Vienna State Opera.
Alexander Fischer teaches piano and performs as magician Magic Mr. Fisher.
